Here are some works from the pandemic—pen, ink and gouche drawing—which seem related to some prior prints done in residence at Jentel in Wyoming.

During the pandemic I got particularly interested in lichens. I really began observing what I would see in my own yard, and it reminded me of lichens on rocks that I had photographed several years before. Lichens are amazing in its creativity of form and its profound resilience in nature. They became my tribute to survival, and beauty.

I have set up a home print studio where I am working on transitioning to waterbased inks and making prints, and experimenting with new processes that are non toxic. I hope to have some examples here soon. I continue to belong to Atlanta Printmakers Studio and look forward to working in their new beautiful space in Hapeville, GA
